HB1283 (Freedom of Choice for adults) was not called up for a vote in the "Behind the Budget" Budget Subcommittee meeting on May 19, 2008. Only bills that had been agreed upon to have a positive vote were heard. One representative tried to call up his favorite piece of legislation, although it wasn't on the "will pass" list, and the chairman asked for a motion for the vote and there was dead silence, then the chairman announced hbXXXX dies for a lack of a motion. Budget Subcommittee is truly the black hole.
