On the morning of Tuesday 08, April 2025 more than twenty (20) members of the Tennessee Confederation of Clubs and CMT/ABATE, Incorporated joined forces to spend a day meeting members of the General Assembly. House Joint Resolution 0547 that recognizes May 2025 as Motorcycle Safety & Awareness Month was read and passed in the House chamber on Monday and is on schedule to be heard in the Senate chamber on Thursday.

 

Our group was comprised of folks who travelled from Knox, Hamilton, Rutherford, Wilson, Robertson, Maury, Sumner, and Davidson Counties. We spent our time meeting the elected representatives and senators from each member’s district and were able to meet most members of the Senate Transportation Committee to discuss a future helmet modification Bill for early 2026. Everyone who attended this year’s event seems eager to remain engaged and return next year.

 

In closing I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who attended and especially those souls who braved the cold and rode to the event.
