CMT/ABATE, Inc. was formed in 1992 to preserve freedom and promote safety and awareness for all Tennesseans who enjoy motorcycling.“ABATE” is an acronym which originally stood for "A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments" and alternatively stands for "American Bikers Against Totalitarian Enactments", "A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education", "American Bikers for Awareness, Training & Education", "American Bikers Aimed Towards Education", "American Bikers Advocating Training & Education". This in essence explains in the name what CMT/ABATE is all about protecting your rights as a Motorcyclist ensuring that laws are introduced and passed to keep you are treated fairly.We invite you to join our organization, we also have several events throughout the year and all Motorcyclists are welcome to these events. Please check out this page to see flyers promoting some of those fun events as well as legislation that can affect your rights as a motorcyclist.
